Who we are

This Privacy Policy describes how Viral Clones EDU LLC (“Viral Clones,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information when you use viralclones.com (the “Site”) and the Viral Clones — AI image cloner browser extension (the “Extension”) available from the Chrome Web Store.

What this policy covers

The Site and Extension work together: you can sign in, manage your account and credits on the Site, and use the Extension to start generations from images you encounter while browsing. This policy covers information processed in both places unless we say otherwise.

Information we collect

• Account and identity. When you create an account or sign in (including with a social login provider), we receive information such as your email address, name or display name as provided by the provider, and an internal user identifier.
• Authentication data (Extension). The Extension stores session-related data locally (for example authentication tokens managed by our auth provider) so you stay signed in. This data remains on your device except when used to call our services.
• Content you provide for generation. When you use Viral Clones, you may provide or select images (for example reference photos, character images, or page images you choose to generate from). That content is transmitted to our servers and, where applicable, to our infrastructure and AI processing vendors to produce outputs you request.
• Usage and technical data. When you use the Site or Extension, our servers automatically receive technical information typical of internet services, such as IP address, approximate region derived from IP, device and browser type, timestamps, and request metadata. We also log operational events needed to run the service (for example errors, job status, and credit usage).
• Payments. Purchases are handled on the Site through our payment processor (for example Stripe). We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers; payment information is processed according to the payment provider’s terms and privacy notice.

How we use information

• Provide, operate, and secure the Site and Extension.
• Authenticate you, manage subscriptions and credits, and deliver generated media to your account library.
• Process transactions, prevent abuse and fraud, and enforce our terms.
• Improve reliability and performance (for example diagnostics and aggregated analytics).
• Comply with law and respond to lawful requests.

AI and your content

Generation is performed using third-party model providers accessed through our backend. We process the inputs you submit only as needed to fulfill your requests and operate the service. Per our public messaging on the Site, we do not use your submitted images to train third-party foundation models; vendor practices may still apply as described in their documentation.

Legal bases (EEA, UK, Switzerland)

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on appropriate legal bases such as: performing our contract with you (providing the service); legitimate interests (for example security, preventing abuse, and improving the product), where not overridden by your rights; and consent where required (for example certain optional communications or cookies, if applicable).

Sharing of information

We share information only as needed with:

• Service providers who host our application, store data, handle authentication, process payments, send email, or run AI inference on our behalf, under contractual obligations.
• Professional advisers where required (for example auditors or counsel).
• Authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Where U.S. state privacy laws require, you may have additional choices regarding sale/sharing—see “Your choices” below.

Retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal, accounting, and troubleshooting requirements. You may delete certain content or your account where the product supports it; residual copies may persist for a period in backups before automatic deletion.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the data we process. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International transfers

We may process information in the United States and other countries where we or our vendors operate. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

Children

Viral Clones is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export certain personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise rights consistent with applicable law, contact us using the details below. If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you may also contact our representative where one is appointed (we will update this policy if we designate one).

Chrome Extension — permissions snapshot

The Extension requests browser permissions needed to inject our generation controls on pages you visit, keep you signed in, communicate between the Extension and our API, open the sign-in flow, and show basic failure notifications. Executable functionality is shipped inside the Extension package; calls to our servers return data (for example JSON and media URLs) over HTTPS to operate the service.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. Where changes are material, we will provide additional notice as required by law.
